The members of the Austrian Society for Quality Assurance and Standardisation of Medical Diagnostics (ÖQUASTA) commission EVENT SERVICE RS to conceive and organize their 30th-anniversary celebrations. As a result, we develop the corporate design for the ÖQUASTA symposium and, with an individualized up-to-date web presence, enable the presentation of all relevant event-related information, including the location of the meeting, the download links for photographic and video documentation and the participants’ online registration.
In 2010, the convention takes place in the nature-inspired Congresspark in Igls for the first time. For the anniversary celebration, we use the rustic Triendl sawmill to stage a cabaret program that highlights the milestones of the organization’s thirty-year history in an entertaining and charming way.
Due to the successful realization and highly positive resonance from both participants and sponsors, the executive board decides to organize the symposium every two years. As a result, a longstanding, successful partnership develops. Apart from internal ÖQUASTA meetings, scientific convention programs and the industrial exhibition with renowned producers, we plan and organize a social evening with an alternating motto for each convention.
In the year 2011, we were the guests of the Swarovski Crystal Worlds where we organized a literary evening with classical music. In 2013, the Congresspark Igls was ablaze with the glittering lights of a gala evening accompanied by a big band and a dance show. The social evening of 2015 took place at the Heiligwasser Inn and was organized as a traditional autumnal Törggele event with alphorn sounds and an interactive musical performance by the Teufelsgeiger (the Devil’s Fiddlers). In 2017, a cheerful country-style “Oktoberfest” (October Festival) with regional delicacies and join-in cooking stations set the scene for the social evening, which not only hosted a ventriloquist, but also traditional music and folklore groups. In 2019, participants will take the cable car to the Patscherkofel mountain refuge.
The editions in 2021, 2023, and 2024 were each implemented as hybrid events and, since 2023, have also been certified as a "Green Event" according to official sustainability criteria. Participation is possible both onsite and online via VR panoramas including a virtual exhibition, live streams, and an extensive media library. The evening social event is held as a "Stammtisch" with appropriate preventative measures in the rustic rooms at Isserwirt in Lans, at Grünwalderhof in Patsch, and at Bierstindl in Innsbruck.
All information about the upcoming symposia on October 1-2, 2026, can be found in a timely manner on the congress website at www.oequasta-symposium.com.
